Church of England Diocese of Newcastle Whorlton

Coronavirus - suspension of services

25 Jun 2020, 4:15 p.m.

On Tuesday 17th March the Church of England Archbishops issued clergy the following advice:

'Public worship will have to stop for a season. Our usual pattern of Sunday services and other mid-week gatherings must be put on hold.'

For CofE advice, see:

Please note that we will not be taking any wedding or baptism bookings for the foreseeable future, and our weekly Office Hour is suspended. If you have an existing booking, we'll have been in touch.

UPDATE (as of 25.06.20):

Following the government's announcement earlier in the week, we are awaiting guidance from the CofE. We are not open for private prayer, but are working towards some form of reopening for public services, and church funerals. All activities are suspended. The Hall is closed.
