  idea of praying can seem daunting.  It is chatting and listening to God j
 ust as you would with a good friend.   Sometimes we make it far too compli
 cated.  Yet we believe that when we pray with sincerity\, there’s no ima
 gining what God can do with our prayers.  There are people who re-ally wel
 come someone praying for them\, even if it’s not something they usually 
 do. \n\nSo why 10 days of prayer? In the days between Ascension and Pentec
 ost\, it has been the habit of many Christians\, for many centuries\, to h
 ave a focused time of prayers the same as those first believers.\n\nThen t
 he apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives
 ... When they ar-rived\, they went upstairs to the room where they were st
 aying... They all joined together constant-ly in prayer\, along with the w
 omen and Mary the mother of Jesus\, and with his brothers.\nActs 1:12-14\n
