Tearfund DRC Emergency Appeal

25 Jun 2021, midnight

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is in crisis. Decades of bitter conflict, combined with disease outbreaks and natural disasters, have forced more than 5 million people from their homes – including 3 million children.

People like Dheve (name changed for her protection) who have had to flee violence, are now living in temporary camps. It can be a struggle for them to get even the most basic essentials, such as food and clean water.

The recent volcanic eruption in Goma is yet another terror that people have had to endure, causing a wave of devastation in eastern DRC. Thousands of people have lost everything they own.

The DRC is currently one of the hardest places to live in the world. But every donation to this appeal will help us reach more people with practical help and spiritual hope in Jesus’ name.

And please pray for all involved, for their safety and wellbeing, for them to be able to return to living a normal life again, free from fear.  Above all pray for peace in DRC
