the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit be with you: and also with you.
Round about us
Here among us
God of promise and love.
Good and faithful, strong in mercy
God of promise and love.
Calling our names, bidding us welcome
God of promise and love
Hymn - Lead us heavenly Father lead us
Forgiveness.
As we begin our Lenten journey for another year, we take time to ponder upon those ways in which we remain uncommitted to our lives as disciples of Christ - those times we turn away from the love of the Father - and those ways in which we lack faith in the promises that have been made.
For the ways in which we lack commitment and courage
Lord we ask for your forgiveness.
For the times we are selfish and ungenerous with our love
Lord we ask for your forgiveness.
For the people that we ignore, belittle and overlook
Lord may we see in them what you see.
And that we may shine with your love in our hearts
Lord, by your grace may we love unconditionally
May the God of love and power
forgive us and free us from our sins,
heal and strengthen us by the Spirit,
and raise us to new life in Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Collect for the Day

A Short Talk
We declare what we believe:
With the whole Church:
We affirm that we are made in God’s image,
befriended by Christ, empowered by the Spirit.
With people everywhere:
We affirm God’s goodness at the heart of creation, planted more deeply than all that is wrong.
With all Creation:
We celebrate the miracle
and wonder of life,
the unfolding purposes of God, forever at work in ourselves and in the world. Amen
Prayers for others, ending with the Lord’s Prayer, Our Father in heaven .........

The Peace
Peace to you from God our heavenly Father; Peace from his Son Jesus Christ who is our peace. Peace from the Holy Spirit, the life-giver;
The peace of the Triune God be always with you.
And also with you.
Let us offer one another a sign of peace.
Final Blessing
Go with confidence into the days ahead, trusting in God’s unfailing love and faithfulness. God will not abandon you, for you are the
work of His hands - God’s own creation -
whose love endures forever.
So go in joy to love and service the Lord!
Amen.
