Hymn - I heard the voice of Jesus say
Forgiveness.
As we continue our Lenten journey, we take time to consider those moments we turn away from the things we find difficult - when challenged, the ways in which we lack the courage our faith promises to reward. We confess now those times we lack prophetic strength and resolve.
When we ignore injustice,
when we turn away from exploitation and greed Lord, let us seek out your love and mercy.
When we forget the poor, the dispossessed and the lonely
Lord, let us seek out your love and mercy.
When we collude with the money changers, those who exploit the poor
Lord, let us seek out your love and mercy.
When we lack the courage to speak out your loving truth
Lord, let us seek our your love and mercy.
May the God of love and power
forgive us and free us from our sins,
heal and strengthen us by the Spirit,
and raise us to new life in Christ our Lord.
The Collect for the Day

A Short Talk
We declare what we believe:
With the whole Church:
We affirm that we are made in God’s image,
befriended by Christ, empowered by the Spirit.
With people everywhere:
We affirm God’s goodness at the heart of creation, planted more deeply than all that is wrong.
With all Creation:
We celebrate the miracle
and wonder of life,
the unfolding purposes of God, forever at work in ourselves and in the world. Amen
Prayers for others, ending with the Lord’s Prayer, Our Father in heaven .........
