 ’s journey back to her home after Jesus’s death. \n\nThe service inclu
 des prayers\, reflections\, and sacred art  and  invites participants to c
 ontemplate Jesus’ death and Mary’s suffering.  \n\nThe Stations of the
  Cross have formed part of Christian devotion for many centuries because i
 t offers a poignant way of following in the steps of Jesus on the way to t
 he Cross. \n\nIt originated when early Christians visited Jerusalem and wa
 nted to follow literally in the footsteps of Jesus\, tracing the path from
  Pilate’s house to Calvary. They would pause for prayer and devotion at 
 various points. Eventually\, those pilgrims brought the practice back to t
 heir home countries and ever since then Christians of differing traditions
  have used this form of devotion.\n\nJoin us for this devotional commemora
 tion service as we walk through the Stations of the Cross in reverse order
  and contemplate what it means for us\, our faith and relationship with Je
