 pen Days invites people across England to explore historic buildings\, hid
 den places\, and places of interest all for free. It’s the country’s l
 argest festival of history and culture\, celebrating the landmarks\, tradi
 tions\, and tales that have shaped our shared heritage.\n\nThis year\, we
 ’re opening the doors of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre\, Northampton
 ’s medieval round church built in 1100 AD\, with a programme of tours an
 d events that uncover centuries of faith\, history\, and mystery.\n\nThe T
 heme this year is everyday histories.  So we thought we would share the ev
 eryday life in a medieval church.\n\nWhat’s On at the Holy Sepulchre\n\n

  Medieval Church After Dark\nExperience the church as it might have felt i
 n a world without electric light.\n\nBy torchlight\, the building changes.
