Baptism has long been regarded as the gateway to entry into the Christian family. Jesus himself was baptised by John the Baptist in the River Jordan and since the earliest times in the Church new converts and the children of Christians have been brought to baptism, sometimes by full immersion or, as at All Saints', at the font. A baptism is a joyous occasion both for the Church and for God. Baptism, particularly of children, is often known a christening.
Baptisms are usually carried out as part of our main Sunday service at 10:00am and are a great joy for both the ministry team and the congregation. Parents wishing to have their children baptised or adults interested in baptism and the Christian faith should in the first instance either pop in to see us or contact the Church by phone on 02392 293020 or Clicking on the Get in touch button on the left hand side.
