   The God of Abraham\, the God of Isaac\, and the God of\nJacob\, the God

 nd rejected in the presence of Pilate\,\nthough he had decided to release 
 him.  But you rejected the\nHoly and Righteous One and asked to have a mur
 derer given\nto you\,  and you killed the Author of life\, whom God raised
 \nfrom the dead. To this we are witnesses.  And by faith in his\nname\, hi
 s name itself has made this man strong\, whom you\nsee and know\; and the 
 faith that is through Jesus has given him\nthis perfect health in the pres
 ence of all of you.\n‘And now\, friends\,  I know that you acted in igno
 rance\, as did\nalso your rulers.  In this way God fulfilled what he had f
 oretold\nthrough all the prophets\, that his Messiah would\nsuffer.  Repen
 t therefore\, and turn to God so that your sins\nmay be wiped out.\n\nLuke
  24.36-48\nAs they were talking about these things\, Jesus himself stood a
 mong them\, and said to them\, “Peace to you!” But they were startled 
 and frightened and thought they saw a spirit. And he said to them\, “Why
  are you troubled\, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? See my hands a
 nd my feet\, that it is I myself. Touch me\, and see. For a spirit does no
 t have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” And when he had said thi
 s\, he showed them his hands and his feet. And while they still disbelieve
 d for joy and were marveling\, he said to them\, “Have you anything here
  to eat?” They gave him a piece of broiled fish\, and he took it and ate
  before them.\nThen he said to them\, “These are my words that I spoke t
 o you while I was still with you\, that everything written about me in the
  Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then h
 e opened their minds to understand the Scriptures\, and said to them\, “
 Thus it is written\, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day ri
 se from the dead\, and that repentance for[b] the forgiveness of sins shou
 ld be proclaimed in his name to all nations\, beginning from Jerusalem. Yo
