Church of England Diocese of Rochester Westerham

Update from the vicar...

23 Aug 2020, noon

23rd August 2020

To the wider congregation at St Mary’s,

After 5 years as your Vicar here in Westerham it is with mixed emotions that I make the following announcement: Carolyn and I will be moving on from St. Mary’s this autumn to investigate new opportunities. Our last Sunday in church will be 15th November.

It has been a privilege to minister in the church and town of Westerham and we will miss this community.

We are leaving you in the safe hands of Revd Michael Gentry, your Associate Vicar & Area Dean and also the Venerable Julie Conalty, your Archdeacon who will guide you as you map out the way ahead for St. Mary’s. Archdeacon Julie will be in contact with St. Mary’s PCC to outline what happens next.

My prayer for you....

   Dear God, your love for us is unchangeable.

   You have welcomed each of us into the family of your Church;

   in Jesus, you call us to be His Body in this place.

   Send down your Holy Spirit upon us at this time of uncertainty and change,

   to fill us with vision and energy and faithfulness in prayer,

   that we may be true to our common Baptism,

   and bring new life to our Parish community.

May God continue to bless you all as you look to the future,

Yours Revd Kevin
