There are many implications of the advanced restrictions, and additional guidance for people affecting almost every area of life following the government's latest announcement on Dec 19.
With our community now in Tier 4 area, we have taken the difficult decision not to hold our planned Christmas services in the church as we would normally, but to move them online to Zoom until Monday January 4th, at which point we will review how we hold services over the balance of January based on government and church guidance at that point.
We know this will be disappointing news for many in our congregation, and indeed the broader community, to hear. The decision was unanimous between the PCC, the Church Wardens and the Area Dean, Rev. Michael, and was taken in the interests of keeping both our congregation and those helping to lead and staff the service safe in a time of rising Covid-19 infections. Details of our services and how to join them over this period can be found here.
We can still take funerals attended by a maximum of 30 people and burials of ashes with up to 6 people in attendance.
The church will sadly no longer be open for individual private prayer on Wednesdays during this period.
We will continue to host the foodbank.
