Please note the following changes - effective from 1st Aug (subject to any further info from the Government/Church of England/Diocese)
Services: Sunday - 8am Communion - 9.30am Eucharist - 6.30pm Evensong
Wednesday - 10.30 Communion service
Communion will continue to be one kind only for now.
Test and Trace – we encourage all to use the QR Code in the Porch. You will no longer need to register to attend.
Private Prayer and Opening for the Public: The church will be open for Private Prayer and the general public on the following days. Mon & Weds; 11am-5pm, Fri & Sat; 9am-5pm, Sun; 11am-6.30pm
Face Masks: Although these are now not mandatory, the government ‘expects and recommends’ that people wear face coverings in enclosed settings to protect themselves and others. We ask people to continue to wear them unless exempt.
Sanitising/Cleaning: We will continue to ask people to use hand sanitiser as they enter and ensure this is provided in each pew.
Singing: The congregation will now be able to sing with the choir. Guidance recommends that the congregation are encouraged to sing with masks. This may be prudent initially as we open up the pews as have less space for droplets to disperse.
Social Distancing: Social distancing restrictions will be lifted on the North side of the church and all the pews will be available for seating. We will provide cards asking people to leave a seat free next to them. We will keep the South side pews and Baptistry seating areas socially distanced for the most vulnerable in our congregation.
Please note - invariably there are fewer numbers at the Sunday 8am Communion and 6.30 Evensong, so these services may be a good option if you would still prefer to have fewer people around.
