Sue's Thoughts for the Week

I don't know about you but I feel so blessed- I have to remind myself sometimes though. It's so easy to become complacent and to take things for granted. Simple luxuries, for example,  hot showers, 'click & collect' shopping, tv programmes (yes, even the constant repeats!!) that entertain & fill the days and evenings.

Then there are the blessings from our Creator, too numerous to list here, such as the warmth of the sun on my face, the cool rain when the sun has been just too hot! my garden which is properly bursting with all manner of wonderment. Also, friends- the companionship and encouragement that they bring and the smiles and laughter of my gorgeous grandchildren. </span>

Yes, there are so many different blessings and the need to be thankful to God each and every day. Then I turn to watch the news and my thankfulness seems so selfish in this world of need. I temper my joy sometimes because others don't share the same blessings. </span>

What can I do? Our heavenly Father hears, sees and knows everything. And so I try to be kind to others (not always succeeding) and I pray, for others less fortunate and for those with the power to change situations</span>
