 s and Noblet.  Leonard also known as Lenard and Leonardo converted to Chri
 stianity and became a hermit\, living in the forest at Limousin region of 
 France where he gathered a number of followers. He became one of the most 
 venerated saints of the late middle ages. His intercession was credited wi
 th miracles for the release of prisoners\, diseases in cattle and women in
