DESCRIPTION:The Easter Vigil is the greatest and most noble of all solemni
 ties and must take place during the night and so it does not begin until a
 fter nightfall with the blessing of the fire and the preparation of the pa
 schal candle into which five grains of incense are inserted into the cross
  to represent the wounds of Christ. There follows a candlelit procession d
 uring which the Easter Proclamation ( Lucernarium) is sung. The second par
 t of the service is the Liturgy of the Word (The Word Of God)\, the third 
 part is the Baptismal Liturgy during which all will renew the baptismal pr
 omises. The service concludes with the Liturgy of the Eucharist\, the Mass
 .\nThis will be a long service\, the vigil of all vigils\, but it will a t
 ruly moving and inspiring experience and there will be food and drink afte
