DESCRIPTION:Benediction is a beautiful word.  It means a blessing\, a gree
 ting\, an expression of kindness and love.  Benediction is also a beautifu
 l service of the Church.  It makes real to us in an impressive way the fac
 t that God is always reaching out to us\, to bless us\, to strengthen us\,
  to heal us\, and to assure us of his loving kindness.  The greatest bless
 ing that God could ever bestow upon us was the sending of his Son\, Jesus.
   He is no longer present in the physical body that was his in Palestine m
 any centuries ago\, but Anglicans believe that he is spiritually present a
 mong us in the Sacrament which he appointed. "This is my body\," Jesus sai
 d over the bread at his Last Supper with His followers.\n\nBenediction is 
 a popular service\, a people’s service.  As we sing songs and look upon 
 the Blessed Sacrament\, we open our hearts to God\, knowing that he who se
 nt the blessing of his Son to lighten the darkness of the world still send
 s through the same Son his blessing to us. \n \nAt the close of our servic
 e there is the opportunity to receive a special prayer for healing and who
 leness as the priest blesses individuals with the Sacrament.  If you would
