The building works began on Monday 25th November 2019 and were completed on Friday 29th May, after delays owing to COVID-19. New glass doors have been installed at the West End opening up the entrance to the public and giving greater light. After the removal of seven pews in the same area, the original font has been removed from its detached baptistry and installed in the centre of the nave at the West End, creating space for a new small prayer chapel. At the East End, there is new carpeting, and a bespoke plinth for the carved wooden statue of Our Lady, whilst the vestries have been completely refurbished. We are very excited about the prospect of being able to worship together again in our church, when we can.
