DESCRIPTION:Palm Sunday is celebrated one week before Easter Day. It marks
  the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem. Jesus rode into Jerus
 alem on a donkey\, while the crowds waved palm branches and shouted "Hosan
 na!" Palm branches were widely associated with victory and triumph during 
 the time in which Jesus lived. People also laid their cloaks on the ground
 \, a sign of respect and honour for someone of great importance.\n\nTo mar
 k this\,  on Palm Sunday we will have a short procession from the top of C
 hurch Lane in to the church\, all are welcome to join the procession. Or y
 ou can simply come in to church and wait for the procession to arrive. Pal
 m Crosses will be given as you come in to the church and will be blessed b
 y the priest for you\, these re taken home. \n\nPalm Sunday is a time for 
 Christians to reflect on their faith and to prepare themselves for the sol
 emnity of Holy Week\, which culminates in the celebration of Easter and th
 e resurrection of Jesus.
