 at Chapelthorpe\, for all our churches in the benefice.\n\nConfirmation is
  a special church service in which a person confirms the promises that wer
 e made when they were baptised. Usually a baptism happens when the person 
 is too young to make the promises themselves and parents and godparents ma
 ke them on their behalf.\n\n As a young person or adult\, individuals will
  affirm these promises for themselves and commit their life to following J
 esus Christ. \n\nConfirmations are presided by a bishop and as part of the
  celebration which includes the Eucharist (Holy Communion). All are welcom
