Lifting Covid Restrictions

17 Jul 2021, 12:30 a.m.

With national guidance from the Church of England about continuing on the roadmap out of Covid restrictions from 19th July, we need to move at a pace we are all happy with, and with regard to each others needs and concerns. Fr George will be working with the PCC and the congregation to ensure that a sensitive and thorough risk assessment is produced.

The obvious points of discussion would seem to be - singing in Church, social distancing and face-coverings. There is scope to change what we do at the Peace and to receive holy communion in both kinds (i.e. consecrated wine as well as bread). There will be room to incorporate different practices and accommodate different personal preferences.

We also need to make sure anyone who is Clinically Extremely Vulnerable is kept safe, and feels safe, in our services.

Please feel free to join in the conversation about this by contacting Fr George ([email protected]), the wardens (David is on [email protected]) or PCC members - details at the back of church.
