A Season of Prayer and Reflection A lot has changed over the last 18 months since Covid-19 burst onto the scene. Although there is a lot of relief that life is beginning to return to something like we remember pre-Covid, the world is a different place because of all that we have experienced. The nation is different. Christ Church is different. We are different. Though many of us are craving the comfort of the familiar after a period of so much disruption, it’s important that we don’t just automatically rush back to doing everything we were doing in March 2020 before the lockdown came into effect. Rather, we must intentionally seek God’s face and pray about how He would have Christ Church go forward with Him. Therefore, we are going to make the autumn term a season of prayer and reflection for the future of the church. On Sundays, we will be exploring the Old Testament books of Ezra and Nehemiah to help us think about what it means to return and rebuild from what has felt like a kind of exile. During this time, we will also continue to worship as one big church family at 10am on Sundays and on Thursdays at 10.15am for those preferring a quieter and more reflective service. Please join us as we seek to discern how God is using Covid-19 to shape us into a people to work with Him in bringing His Kingdom to Ossett.
