Church of England Diocese of Winchester Bentworth

The Building has reopened.

2 Sep 2021, 12:30 p.m.

After months of closure due to the Covid pandemic, the easing of Government restrictions has enabled us to reopen our Church buildings back to full capacity.

Singing has returned and there is no longer a need to "book your seat".

Our Rector retired in January 2021 which still limits the services that can be provided.

However, we are pleased to announce an enhanced pattern of services across the Benefice. From September 2021 there will be at least three services each Sunday across the Benefice. Bentworth's share of this pattern means that this church will have at least two, and sometimes three, services a month on the first and second Sundays of the month at 10.00 am. Holy Communion will be celebrated at these services.

Special arrangements will be in place for fourth and fifth Sundays of the month.

Our online services pattern has been discontinued following falling patronage and the reinstatement of regular in-building services.  We are enormously grateful to all those who have contributed to the preparation and presentation of the twice weekly online services which started with the first lockdown in the Spring of 2020.

The current service plan can be found on the Services/Forthcoming Services tab of the Benefice web site, http://www.blmsbenefice.org/.

We have missed meeting in fellowship and it is good to meet up again and give thanks and glory to God collectively.
