In July 2021 we bade a fond farewell to Revd Mark Bailey as he and Sue move to Hertfordshire to take up their new ministry. We are hugely grateful to all they have given to this parish over the past years.

While some of the Ts are yet to be crossed and Is to be dotted, we are delighted to be joining the new Brightwater Benefice, which will allow us to make new relationships with a group of churches, while also continuing to do the many events and activities which make us distinct as the churches of Barton Stacey and Bullington. This is an exciting time, and whether you are a newcomer or an existing member of congregation, we wanted to ensure you know what the changes are and have the information you need on services and events.

The new group of Churches (Benefice) will comprise:

- Whitchurch with Tufton & Litchfield, Hustbourne Priors, Longparish, St Mary Bourne and Woodcott and Barton Stacey and Bullington.

This is a bigger group, but has a larger team of clergy serving the different churches. We will see different members of clergy as well as LLMs (Readers) from across the benefice on different weeks, and we are very much looking forward to making them feel welcome.

While there will still be a service most Sundays at 11am in Barton Stacey, please see the detailed service times to check this. Some days we will go to one of the other churches for a benefice service, which is a great opportunity to visit new churches and to meet new people.

With every blessing,

The Churchwardens and PCC of Barton Stacey and Bullington
