DESCRIPTION:Good Friday is the day when we stand at the foot of the cross 
 on which Jesus is crucified. The day ends with the burial of Jesus’ body
  and leads into the emptiness of Holy Saturday. Then\, on Easter Day\, we 
 rejoice in the resurrection - that Jesus is alive and with us for ever.\n\
 nAll are invited to the Good Friday service at 2 pm. It is a service of hy
 mns and readings and reflections. This is an opportunity to focus on Our L
 ord’s suffering and death\, with the crown of thorns\, a beautiful gift 
 in memory of his wife carved by the late Brian Hardwick\, which will be mo
 ved from its case in the north aisle to provide a visual focus for our ref
 lection.\n\nOnly when we walk the way of the cross can we appreciate the t
 rue joy of the gift of resurrection\, which we will celebrate on Easter Da
 y\, next Sunday.\n\nThe service is followed by a walk around the lanes of 
 St Andrew\, and hot cross buns and tea at the Rectory.
