 \nI know that this time of the year can be very hard for\npeople – it is
  a time when memories can be at their\nmost poignant\, it can be a time of
  intense loneliness\nand sadness amidst the jollifications of others. If y
 ou\nfeel a chat over a cup of tea would help you or\nsomeone you know\, pl

 \, beloved of God\,\nclothe us in your love\,\nstrengthen us to live gentl
 y on this earth\,\ngive us humility to see all we encounter\nas precious t

 ays. Amen.\nGracious God\,\n\nmay this last week of Advent be a time of tu
 rning\nour faces towards the light\, and a space to pause\,\n\nto reflect 
 and to watch.\n\nMay we learn to wait in the present and not for the\nfutu
 re\, that every moment may be lived in the\npresence of the Christ Child\,
  the Lamb of Calvary\,\nthe Saviour of the World and to your glory. Amen.\
 n\nA Prayer for this time\n\nas we look at the state of the world around u
 s\, with so\nmany people on the move from their own countries\,\ntheir hom
 es and all that is familiar – fleeing in the face\nof war and destructio
 n\, looking for new life and new\nbeginning for their families and themsel
 ves……\nEverlasting God we are approaching the last\nSundays of our Adv
 ent journey towards Christmas\nand we give thanks as we remember those jou
 rneys\nthat were being taken at that first Christmas 2000\n\nyears ago.\n\
 nMary and Joseph travelling on foot to enrol in the\n\nRoman census\;\n\nT
 he Wise Men following the signs in the heavens\;\nThe unsuspecting Shepher
 ds moving from pasture to\n\npasture with their flocks\;\n\nThe Jewish Nat
 ion\, also unsuspecting\, moving through\nhistory towards a world changing
  event. Amen.\n\nA very Happy\, Peaceful and Spirit-filled Christmas\n\nto
  everyone.
