Please do go along to show support for\nthose who do so much for our churches and\, if you\nfeel that you would like to do more – now would be\n\nthe time to v olunteer!\n\nNext Saturday in The Parish Room\, White Ladies\nAston\, ther e will be an evening of entertainment\ncalled April Showers - based on the mes of rain and\nSpring and raising some funds for Water Aid. Tickets\nare £10 to include a ploughman’s supper and desserts.\nPlease book ahead w ith Margaret Haywood (01905\n355371 or margaret.haywood@gmail.com).\nThoug hts and Prayers\n\nPrayer can be a place where we calm the head noise\,\ns top the frenetic activity of our lives\, see our world in\na new and wonde rful light and find peace for a few\n\nmoments.\n\nPrayers when we are in despair for the world\nO God\, compassionate and merciful\,\nwhere your ch ildren tear each other apart\,\n\nyou are also torn.\nFull of confusion\, longing for peace\,\nwe bring you our violent world\,\na world we don’t understand\nwith ideologies and convictions we cannot grasp.\nWhere the po orest\, the vulnerable and the\ninnocent pay the price of powerful hatreds .\nIn this time of need\, open our hearts and minds to\nyour will and show us how to pray. Amen.\nO God it is your will to hold both heaven and eart h\n\nin a single peace.\n\nLet the design of your great love shine on the waste of\nour wraths and sorrows and give peace to your\nchurch\, peace am ongst nations\, peace in our homes\nand peace in our hearts.
