m.\nMore information from Margaret.\n\nChristian Aid Week - A sobering mes
sage from the\nCEO of Christian Aid Patrick Watt: “The human\nsuffering
caused by the climate crisis reflects political\nchoices. There is nothing
natural about the growing\nseverity and frequency of droughts\, floods an
d\nstorms. Disasters are being supercharged by decisions\nto keep burning
fossil fuels\, and to allow emissions to\nrise. And they’re being made w
orse by the consistent\nfailure to deliver on financial commitments to the
\npoorest and most climate-vulnerable countries. In\n2025 we need to see g
overnments leading\, and taking\naction to accelerate the green transition
\, reduce\nemissions\, and fund their promises”.\nIn Peopleton the famil
iar little red and white\nenvelopes will appear through letter boxes – a
nd they\nwill be available in Upton Snodsbury too – they can be\nreturne
d to The Crown Inn\, The Pantry in Peopleton\nor St Nicholas Church\, at a

 1991)\; Carole (01905 840879)\; Sue (01905 840037)\nThe film Conclave with
its current popularity and\nrelevance has certainly increased people’s
interest in\nthe process of electing a new Pope in Rome! The\nbetting book
s are open and the odds are changing\ndaily as the black smoke appears ove
 r the Vatican – all\n\nvery gripping and exciting!\n\nHowever in these t
roubled times the importance of\nelecting a new leader for the worldwide C
hurch\ncannot be overstated. In our own country a new\nArchbishop of Cante
rbury is to be chosen and even\nmore locally in our diocese the process to
find a new\nBishop of Worcester is underway. Please hold the\nConclave in
Rome\, and our own Anglican Communion\nnationally and locally in your tho
ughts and prayers.\nLord\, be with those men and women who have the\nrespo
nsibility of choosing new church leaders in these\ndifficult times. Give t
hem discernment and the insight\nto come to the right decisions and the co
urage to\ncarry them through for the good of your Christian\nChurch across
the world. In the name of Jesus Christ\,\n\nour Saviour. Amen.
