Dunne - Peopleton\n\nSummer is a time for holidays and opportunities to\nt
ake time out to think and reflect on life and the\n\nuniverse.\n\nTo conte
mplate not only the evils constantly raging on\nevery side but also to thi
nk about the deep and\nmeaningful things which make every-day life such a\
n\njoy to live.\n\nThere is nothing much better than sitting in a shady\ng
arden listening to the bees and contentedly letting\nnature just get on wi
th ‘being’ around you.\nOver the next few weeks\, I hope to offer the
odd\nthought or idea\, or phrase which has resonated\nsomewhere in me at s
ome time or other.\nIt will be a random mish-mash of something and\nnothin
g I suspect\, but occasionally maybe something\nwill touch you and perhaps
make you think you too –\n\nwell that is my hope.\n\nWe all strive in o
ur lives for ‘something’ – different\n‘somethings’ for each of u
s of course\, different ways\nto be and grow – but this first little off
ering comes\nfrom Michelle Obama in her book Becoming.\n\nShe writes:\n\n
 ….It’s all a process\, steps along a path.\nBecoming requires equal pa
rts patience and rigour.\nBecoming is never giving up on the idea that the
re’s\n\nmore growing to be done…...\n\nIf you would like to share some
thing with others by\ncontributing a little something for the Pews News\n\
nplease do let me know on\nbowlandbenefice01@gmail.com\nThe school holiday
s will be here very soon. A difficult\ntime for some parent struggling to
feed\, clothe and\nlook after their children\, so donations to the various
\nfood banks are as important now as in the cold winter\nmonths. Please do
pop items in the collection boxes in\nThe Pantry and St Nicholas Church\,
both in Peopleton\nor at the collection points available in most\n\nsuper
markets.\n\nTo be what we are\, and to become what we are\ncapable of beco
