  Benefice Council is holding its first meeting of\n2023 this coming week.

 nThe Benefice Council is made up of representatives\nfrom each of the Bowl
 and parishes\, working together\nfor our Bowland congregations.\nSunday 29
  January is a 5 th Sunday and there will be a\nBenefice Holy Communion hel
 d in St Leonard’s\,\n\nBroughton Hackett.\n\nIt’s a good chance to wor
 ship with those we might not\nsee very often\, then to catch up with frien
 ds after the\n\nservice.\n\nRevd Nancy Murray-Peters will be taking the se
 rvice.\n\nA thought …..\n\nFear knocked at the door – Faith opened it 
 and there\n\nwas no one there.\n\nThe retirement of Revd Ian Spencer\, War
 den of\n\nHolland House\n\nIan has been the Warden of Holland House\, the\
 nbeautiful retreat house in Cropthorne\, since July 2008.\nSince then he h
 as been responsible for leading\nretreats\, offering hospitality to visito
 rs both from the\nlocal area and from far and wide.\nHe has worked alongsi
 de the Trustees and Friends of\nHolland House to refurbish and improve the
  amenities\nincluding accommodation for disabled guests. 2018\nsaw the ref
 urbishment of Holland House’s wonderful\n\nand very special chapel.\n\nC
 ovid and the pandemic saw the closure of many\nretreat houses but Ian\, wi
 th hard work and ingenuity\nmanaged to keep Holland House open and thrivin
 g.\nIan will retire on 31 March and he and his wife Karen\n\nwill move to 
 Worcester.\n\nIan leaves\, knowing that Holland House is in good\nheart an
 d will serve the community for many years to\n\ncome.\nWe wish him well.\n
 Holland House Quiet Mondays 2023\nCome and spend a day of quietness\, peac
 e and\nreflection. If you are familiar with our Quiet Garden\nDays\, these
  days will follow a similar pattern and\ntheme. They run from 10am to 4pm.
 \nThe theme for 2023 is Emotions\nDates and details as follows:\n\n30 Janu
 ary: Introduction including a film led by Revd\nBrenda Morton with Communi
 on led by Revd Nikki\n\nMoon\n\n20 February: Leader for the day is Canon J
 ulie Fay and\nCommunion led by Revd Carolyn Petts\n27 March: Leader for th
 e day and of Communion is\n\nThe Ven Frank Bentley.\n\nThe Cost for the ea
 ch day\, including a light lunch\,\ncoffee and afternoon tea is £20.\nA s
 hort\, led reflection at the start of the day\, optional\nCommunion before
  lunch and shared group reflection\n\nto close before tea.\n\nPlease book
