 ollowed by refreshments\n\nthis coming Sunday\nClaire writes:\nOn Sunday I
shall be licensed as priest in\ncharge of this Benefice. \nOne of the st
atements I shall be making in\nthat service is that I will continually sti
r up the\ngift of God that is in me. \nI have been constantly surprised a
nd\noverjoyed to find that my calling is to be a\npriest right here where
 I have lived for so\n\nmany years. \n\nSurprised because being a priest a
t all and\naccepting the gift of God was totally\nunexpected\; overjoyed b
ecause this is my\nhome and I am amongst friends who have\nwatched and bee
 n a part of my journey of\n\nfaith.  \n\nMinistry\, especially in rural p
arishes\, is varied\nand can be challenging.  It doesn’t just involve\n
 a service on a Sunday but can be all-\nconsuming:  baptisms\, weddings\,
funerals\,\nvisiting and getting to know parishioners. \nNot to mention l
earning the many rules\,\nregulations and traditions that make up good\npa
rish ministry.  Plus of course the value of\nlistening\, thinking and pra
ying before\nspeaking or making decisions. \nI am sure I will always be l
earning and I look\nforward to growing into being your parish\nvicar durin
g the years to come. \nPershore and Evesham Deanery\nA Service of Celebra
tion\n\n12th July at 7:30pm at St Peter’s\, Bengeworth\nRevd Canon Sarah

nthe functioning of the churches in our deanery.  This\nincludes those vi
tal roles of cleaning the church\,\nmaking the coffees\, tidying the churc
 hyard\, operating\nthe sound system\, leading worship\, being an Open the\
nBook team member. We encourage you to bring along\na small symbol to repr
 esent the role which you fulfil\;\ne.g. a teapot\, a musical instrument\,

before\n\nhis retirement in the Autumn.\nParking is available courtesy of
