 ion for treason on 12 October 1915.\nStanding as I do in view of God and e
 ternity\; I realise\nthat patriotism is not enough. I must have no hatred\

  wars and loss of\nlife in the Middle East\, Ukraine\, some African States
 \,\nMyranmar\, and many\, many other places.\nFor the thousands and thousa
 nds of people across the\nworld living and dying as refugees.\nFor people 
 working for peace in our world\,\ncommitting themselves to strive for just
 ice and\nfairness and opportunities for those who have\nnothing. For UNICE
 F\, The Red Cross\, World Health\nOrganisation and all other aid agencies.
 \nAnd finally a hope and pledge for us all….\nWe commit ourselves to wor
 k in penitence and faith\nfor reconciliation between nations\, that all pe
 ople\nmay together live in freedom\, justice and peace.\nWe pray for all w
 ho in bereavement\, disability and\npain continue to suffer the consequenc
 es of fighting\n\nand terror.\n\nWe remember with thanksgiving and sorrow 
 those\nwhose lives in world wars and conflicts past and\npresent\, have be
 en given and taken away.
