The Covid Lockdown in November and the lengthening nights threaten to make this a difficult time for many of us. The Archbishops of Canterbury and York are encouraging us all to respond to this adversity by being calm, courageous and compassionate. Their message in full is attached below.

The daily 6.00pm pause to pray and think about others will be marked in St Anne's church by lighting the East windows for an hour every evening. We will use the colour red which is the church's traditional colour for the period from Remembrance to the start of December.  In addition the treble bell in St Anne's church tower will be rung for 5 minutes at 6.00pm on Thursday and Sunday evenings.

St. Anne's will be open for private prayer during the day from 11.00am till 1.00pm from Wednesday to Saturday every week.
