St Cassian's, Chaddesley Corbett

The churches of our Deanery are being re-grouped, and whilst St Cassian's (DY10 4SD) has been part of Kidderminster East for over a decade it is now going to form a new group with Belbroughton and Fairfield. The remaining four churches of Kidderminster East continue as a group: St Cecilia’s (DY10 1LP), St Chad’s (DY10 3AY), St George’s (DY10 2ES) and St Mary's Stone (DY10 4BE).

St Cassian’s is a beautiful, Grade I listed, church in the heart of the village. It was built between the 11th and 14th Centuries. The current interior is largely as a result of re-ordering by the Victorians. The church has an original three-manual Elliot organ from 1817, a 12th century font and some stunning examples of stained-glass windows.

You will always find a warm welcome at St Cassian’s. We try to ensure our services are enjoyable and spiritual. We aim to reach out into the community to support and care for all its people. As well as the parish clergy, we have a Licensed Lay Minister and an Authorised Lay Minister (Worship) who lead services.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Kidderminster East is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Worcester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Rob Poulsen, [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Hilary Higton, [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
