DESCRIPTION:This is a celebration that easily gets mixed up with Mothers' 
 Day. For the Church\, Mothering Sunday is a festival that includes everyon
 e\, not just women. It arises from the time when girls 'in service' were a
 llowed a weekend off before Easter in order to visit their families\, whic
 h of course included their mothers\, but most importantly gave them an opp
 ortunity to visit their 'mother church' where they had been brought up in 
 the faith. So\, today\, our celebration of Mothering Sunday can include al
 l of us thanking God for our 'mother church' where we have been nurtured\,
  mothered\, in the faith\, and is a reminder for us to go on growing in ou
 r walk with Jesus.\n\nCould this Sunday be your chance to take a step back
  towards the place where faith goes on being mothered and nurtured?
