DESCRIPTION:On Thursday 6th June the nation will remember the D-Day landin
 gs in 1944 - when British and Allied troops landed on the Normandy beaches
  to start rolling back the Nazi occupation of France and the Low Countries
 \, and fight on to bring the Second World War to an end in Europe.\nOn thi
 s 80th anniversary\, the timetable of observances follows a pattern across
  the country.  In Kidderminster these observances will take place at the s
 teps of St Mary's Church.\nAt 7.55 am Kidderminster's Town Crier will hera
 ld the day\, with a bagpipe tribute at 8 am.\nAt 6.30 pm the bells of St M
 ary''s will ring out.\nAt 9 pm there will again be a Town crier proclamati
 on\, bagpipe tribute and now a Tribute from the Mayor.\n\nThe church will 
 be open during the day. \n\nAnd at 12 noon in St Mary's church there will 
 be a short gathering (20 minutes) to mark the anniversary\, honour the bra
 very of those involved in D-Day\, and to pray for world peace now.\nYou ar
