 rvice at 7 pm.\n\nAscension Day\, coming forty days after Easter\, traditi
 onally marks the end of Jesus' resurrection appearances.  His disciples wa
 it to see in what way he will be with them for the future\, how his Spirit
  will animate them.  They will encounter him everywhere\, for he is exalte
 d as Lord of the whole world - no longer limited to a particular place at 
 a particular time.  He has "ascended"\, and has gone up in out estimation\
 , in our understanding\, and in the honour we give him.\n\nOur service wil
 l be a Eucharist\, and is followed by tea/coffee and delicious cake.
