DESCRIPTION:"What is Mother's Union?"\n"Mothers’ Union are the heart and
love of the Church."\n\nWe are a Christian organisation that has been sup
porting families worldwide for nearly 150 years. Started by our founder Ma
ry Sumner in 1876 in her local parish\, we have grown into an internationa
l charity with over 4 million members in 83 countries. As a Christian memb
ership charity\, we demonstrate our faith in action. This happens as we wo
rk towards ending poverty\, inequality and injustice. Our members work at
grassroots level around the world. They bring hope and practical support t
o millions of people every year through parenting\, literacy and community
development programmes. As a registered charity in the UK\, we campaign a
t local\, national and international levels to bring about real change for
gender equality and for the rights of women and girls. You're invited to
join us in our journey and be a part of something life-changing.\n\nDespit
e our name\, we are an inclusive organisation and we're very proud to have
a growing number of men who have joined us.
