St Peter

Important Notice

All our churches are open for worship (please see services times on this site or our website www.gornalandsedgley.org.uk)

When attending worship, please note

There are no current legal restrictions for attending worship in our churches, and those we have in place have been reviewed by the Standing Committee. The Standing Committee have agreed:

1. That we continue to share Holy Communion, without the shared cup, and for people to receive in one kind only if they wish, or with their wafer intincted.

2. That we continue to encourage the voluntary wearing of face masks.

3. That we continue to encourage people to sanitise hands, and therefore continue to make sanitizer available.

4. That all physical restrictions relating to social distancing be removed, but to encourage people to give others space.

We will be posting information and updates on our website, Facebook (Gornal and Sedgley Team Ministry) and Twitter (@gornalsedgley)pages

If you wish to speak to a member of the Parish clergy please see the get in touch contact details on this site or the Parish website http://www.gornalandsedgley.org.uk.

This is a difficult time for everyone and we are praying for this situation and all affected.

Team Vicar

The parish of Gornal and Sedgley; All Saints Sedgley, St Andrew the Straits and St Peters Upper Gornal, is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Worcester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

If you have a safeguarding issue please contact;

Parish Safeguarding Officer Barbara Baker 01902 882847, or

Diocese Safeguarding Advisor Hilary Higton 07495 060869 or
