DESCRIPTION:Join York Minster’s worship to mark the start of Advent with
  an atmospheric and breath-taking candlelit service of music\, readings an
 d prayers for Advent\, in celebration and anticipation of the arrival of J
 esus Christ\, the Light of the World.\n\nThe service\, which will include 
 music from the Choir of York Minster\, starts in darkness before a single 
 flame is used to spread light through the cathedral\, with candles held by
  each member of the congregation.\n\nFree tickets must be booked in advanc
 e for this service and will be available on Tuesday 21 November at 10am. T
 ickets will be available via this page or by calling 01904 557200.\n\nA ma
 ximum of four tickets can be reserved with each booking\, children over th
 e age of two need their own seat.\n\nTickets are valid for the specified s
 ervice only. We kindly ask that if you have booked tickets and cannot atte
 nd the service\, to please return them so others can enjoy the Advent Proc
 ession. You can do this by contacting York Minster's Bookings Team on 0190
 4 557200.\n\nDoors will open at 4.30pm.\n\nThe service will also be livest
 reamed via York Minster's YouTube channel and their website so you can enj
 oy the service from the comfort of your own home. The 11am Advent Sunday s
 ervice will also be livestreamed on this date.
