Serving One Another
Coronavirus Action Group - Serving One Another
It is so important to support the lonely, vulnerable and those suffering in our communities. Offering practical help, support and advice to those in need.
Over the last week, following a meeting and a leaflet drop to every home in the Parish (Wighill, Healaugh, Catterton, Bilton-in-Ainsty; Bickerton, Hessay and Moor Monkton) we have a had some 50 or so people offering their help and support.
Each of these people, across all our villages, have offered to help to you!
In each village we have lead coordinators who will:
Take requests for help and match / ask volunteers in the village to pick up and support those requests.
Promote to people in the village that we are here to help and the things that we can do to support others.
We recognise that there may be some reticence, at first, from people asking for help so we will gently remind people of the support that is there from friends and neighbours
We encourage each and everyone of us to overcome our reluctance, ask for help and not suffer in silence.
If you are in need, in the first instance please contact the Vicarage on either of the phone numbers below or email: [email protected]
