On behalf of David Copp our Churchwarden and all the PCC at St Andrew's, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who rallied to the call on Thursday and Friday 20th and 21st July, to help with our annual churchyard raking day.
A tremendous turnout of parishioners and friends on both days meant that we managed to cut and rake the entire churchyard (nearly two acres in total). Suffice to say the churchyard now looks resplendent once again.
Achieving so much would not have been possible without the assistance of Conca Goyder and Bob Brown with their tractors, both large and not so large, with their attachments and trailer, and of course Russell with his trusty strimmer.
The task was made all the more pleasant by the provision of lunch by Ann Mayhew and Christine Davies on day two. Thank you so much ladies.
'Never has so much been achieved by so many in such a short time' - now where have I heard a similar statement before?
