You will know that the Government has announced that places of worship can be open from 4th July. We warmly welcome this news, as I know that many of you have been very much missing worshipping together Sunday by Sunday.

However, I do need to say that because it is still vital that the necessary hygiene and social distancing precautions are kept in place in order to protect the NHS and save lives, when we do open, our worship services in church will look different for some time to come.

At St Hilda’s we are closely following Diocesan and National Church of England guidelines to make our church as safe as we possibly can. For up to date information on when we will be opening our doors, please refer to our website or facebook page.

Whilst our building is closed, we invite you to use our Community Garden for private prayer and contemplation.  We will of course keep this page updated to let you know when we may be able to open our building.

In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming you to our on-line service, and there's plenty of materials and resources on this website which you are welcome to download and use.</span>

Many churches are live streaming services.  There will be a virtual service from the Church of England live streamed weekly.  You can find the link here
