Following the announcement this afternoon that Hertfordshire is moving immediately to Tier 4, we have concluded that we should revert back, with immediate effect, to live-streaming services only, without a congregation in place.
We appreciate that this will be very disappointing for everyone, particularly at this blessed time of year, but we must do what we can to keep our congregation safe. Given the advice to “stay at home”, the current uncertainty and the rapidly increasing levels of infection this feels the right thing to do.
In addition, we will be cancelling the carol services tomorrow afternoon and the planned Christmas Eve carols on the common. Our Christmas Day family Eucharist with Bishop Stephen Venner and our 9:30 service on Sunday 27 with Jonathan Smith will be live-streamed only without a congregation in place.
We are sorry for the short notice, but hope you will understand the reasons for making these decisions.
