Community_news The_Queen
There have, and continue to be, several opportunities to mark the death of our Queen as a church and as a community over the coming days. All are welcome whether regular members of St Aidan's or not, as we bid farewell to our Queen, celebrate her life and reign and pray for her son, King Charles III.

On Friday 9th September the church bells were rung for one hour at midday.  As always, church is be open daily 9am-4pm.  There is an area for private prayer, a book of condolences, and resources for prayer to take home with you.

If you would like to sign the Church of England's online Condolences Book, please use this link: https://www.churchofengland.org/remembering-her-majesty...

We held a special Service of Commemoration on Wednesday 14th September, with hymns, readings and prayers.

On the day of the funeral, Monday 19th September, our bell will be rung for one hour prior to the start of the funeral. We will then screen the funeral service live at church if you would like to gather with others to pray along with the nation.Following a life of great dedication and duty as well as remarkable faith, may Her Majesty be received into the kingdom of heaven, by the King of all Kings and Queens, and hear the words: 'Well done, good and faithful servant...enter into the joy of your Lord.' (Matt 25.21)
