 ason which is commonly observed with ashes. During the Service our priest 
 will places ashes on a worshipper's forehead in the shape of a cross. it i
 s a solemn reminder of human mortality and the need for reconciliation wit
 h God. The ashes have been obtained by burning the palms from the previous
  Palm Sunday.\nThe Monks Eleigh Benefice will be holding its Ash Wednesday
  Service at the time of our usual Wednesday Morning Prayers which will be 
 at 10am and the service will be held on Wednesday 22nd February 2023.
