Church_news Notices

St Paul's Church Hasland is now re-open for public worship as well as private prayer in accordance with Government guidelines.  The parish complies with the Secure COVID-19 guidance to ensure the safety of anyone who may visit the church for private prayer or worship.

* A 'one-way' system is in place, entry is via the main door, exit via the choir vestry door.

* For those who need step-less access, this is still managed by way of the choir vestry door.

* Pews in use and chairs re spaced at 2m interval, front-to-back and side-to side.

* Hand sanitiser must be used in entry and exit.  Please cleanse your hands thoroughly for 20 seconds - 2 Our Fathers.

* Seating Capacity is limited to UP TO 8 pews of up to 4 people (from the SAME household) per pew.

* We ask you book by contacting The Rector the Wednesday of the week before, from 6pm to 7pm: this ensures capacity is not breached.

* Contact details will need to be given to comply with the 'test and trace' programme and will be retained for 21 days.

* From 8th August anyone visiting the church must wear a face mask unless they have a medical condition which exempts them or they are under the age of 11.

* Funerals , wedding and baptisms can now take place at St Paul's but the seating capacity is more limited.  The maximum number permitted by the Government for these services is 30 and this must include the priest, verger and other people such as photographers.  These people can still only be from up to 8 households - the seating capacity.  If this may affect your plans, please have an early conversation with The Rector, Fr Geoffrey.

* It is not, at this time, permitted to sing in church.

* You are reminded NOT to attend church if you are suffering from or have symptoms of COVID-19, are self-isolating because someone in your household is suffering from it or has symptoms or if you have been asked to self-isolate through the 'test and trace' scheme.
