About Us

St Peter's is a fine church building in Accrington, and sits on a brow above the town on the south side.

The congregation is faithful, lively and friendly, and welcoming to all.

We are a traditional Anglo Catholic Church under the episcopal care of the Bishop of Burnley, in which worship, prayer and the sacraments are held dear.

Why not come and join us? A very warm welcome awaits all those seeking to enjoy the riches of the Catholic faith here.

We are always happy to welcome those who are exploring the possibility of marriage, or would like their children baptised/christened. Baptisms take place during the 2.00 pm mass on Sunday afternoons. If you would like to arrange a baptism, please come along to a Sunday 2.00 pm Mass and have a word with Fr David at the end.

Each year we prepare adults and children from Year 6 or upward for Confirmation. Details of the preparation will be published in due course, but if you are considering Confirmation as the next step in your Christian journey, please speak to Fr David at any time.
