 humann\, Grieg...\n\nBio:\nAndrew was a music scholar at King's College\, 
 Cambridge and studied piano with Dennis Murdoch at the Royal Academy of Mu
 sic. Since retiring as a school Director of Music\, latterly at Ipswich Sc
 hool\, he has been able to devote more time to music making. Performances 
 over the last two years have included: Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy with W
 oodbridge Choral Society at Snape Maltings\, directing and playing the sol
 o piano part\, both from memory\; trios by Brahms and Glinka\, Fauré’s 
 Piano Quartet no. 1 with the Gainsborough Quartet\, accompanying tenors Ri
 chard Edgar-Wilson and Keith Lewis\, Stravinsky’s Petrushka with the Wol
 sey Orchestra and five piano recitals.\n\n \n\nAndrew is conductor of Wood
 bridge Choral Society\, with whom highlights in recent years have included
 : Verdi Requiem\, Britten War Requiem\, Mendelssohn Elijah\, Mozart Requie
 m\, Ben Ponniah Begin\, Vaughan Williams Dona nobis pacem and Karl Jenkins
  The Armed Man\, all at Snape Maltings concert hall. Andrew has also been 
 musical director of a number of operas performed in Woodbridge: The King
 ’s River\, a community opera by Jana Rowland\; L’elisir d’amore\; Th
 e Magic Flute and Die Fledermaus\, The Barber of Seville\, The Marriage of
  Figaro and Hansel & Gretel. He is Chairman of Ipswich Chamber Music Socie
 ty and organist at St Mary Elms\, Ipswich. Andrew is often seen on his bik
 e\, as he cycles to musical gigs wherever possible. He also enjoys walking
 \, especially up the Scottish hills.
