Church of England Diocese of St.Edmundsbury & Ipswich Claydon and Barham

Things are returning to Near-Normal

21 Aug 2021, midnight

As from the 1st August we returned to our normal pattern of worship across the Benefice with the addition of an on-line worship provision on Sundays at 9.30 which we share with those in the North Bosmere Benefice. We are now singing in Church: the numbers attending are no longer restricted so there is no booking required but there is provision for those who still wish to follow social distancing guidance: and we now have refreshments again after our main Sunday worship. However we are still proceeding with caution so we don't share the Chalice at Communion; we don't pass round the collection plate: we don't shake hands at the Peace; and we have individually wrapped biscuits with our tea/coffee. Despite these residual precautions, it's great to be back!.

Families @ 4.30 is scheduled to restart on Sunday 3rd October but the previous month on Sunday 5th September we have a BBQ at the Church also at 4.30 for those intending to attend Families @ 4.30 as well as all other members of the Church and their families

The Church is also now again open 7 days per week for tourists and those needing it for private prayer and reflection
