Today (Sunday 18th October 2020), the following announcement was made in our churches:
"The Right Revd Martin Seeley, the Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich is delighted to announce that The Revd Mark Jason Woodrow has been appointed as Rector of the Stour Valley Benefice. Mark is presently Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Stoke by Nayland with Leavenheath and Polstead, and Nayland with Wissington.
The Bishop would like to thank all those involved in the process of Mark's appointment, and he assures you of his prayers. Please pray for Mark as he prepares for the move.
A licensing date will be confirmed in due course."
The Stour Valley Benefice is in the South West of the Diocese and is made up of the parishes of Cavendish, Clare, Hundon, Poslingford, Stoke-by-Clare, and Wixoe.
Whilst Revd Mark's final service date has not yet been confirmed he hopes that he will continue to serve this Benefice during Advent and Christmas, and will move early in the new year.
